Filming has begun in Adelaide on the new
Australian feature film Elise, starring Natalie Imbruglia, in her first feature
film since the 2002 hit Johnny English. Elise is an Essential Pictures
production in association with Kojo Pictures and will be filmed entirely on
location in Adelaide.
Elise also stars Daniel Fredriksen (Ten Empty, Ghost Rider), Deborah Kennedy
(Swimming Upstream), Tony Martin (Candy), Danielle Catanzariti (Hey, Hey it’s

Written and directed by James Bogle (In the Winter Dark) produced by Ben Grant
and Kent Smith and executive producer Rosemary Blight (Clubland), Elise is
adapted from the best selling South Australian novel Closed for Winter, by
Georgia Blain. Elise is the haunting, emotional story of a woman coming to terms
with tragic events from her past.
Elise is made with the assistance of the Film Finance Corporation of Australia,
South Australian Film Corporation, Omnilab Media Group and Sunday Night Movies.
South Australian Film Corporation CEO, Richard Harris said, 'The SAFC is excited
to be supporting the realisation of this much-loved South Australian novel onto
the screen, which will once again showcase Adelaide and confirm its reputation
as a world class film destination. The film has a strong creative team, an
exciting cast with a refreshing combination of experience and youth, and will
continue to build the capacity of the local industry.' Goalpost Film will
represent the film internationally.
